Generating income from advertising to support the ongoing sustainability of the Trust

Project Background
In October 2020 the Trust was awarded £9,000 from the Highland Council Town Centre Fund – a fund which enables local authorities to re-purpose town centres to become more diverse, successful and sustainable.
With these funds, the Trust invested in three, high-quality notice boards. The notice boards have been installed in the car park by The Green beside the old Portree VisitScotland iCentre in the centre of the village. Funds from advertising sales are reinvested to deliver environmental improvements around Portree and Braes and to meet the ongoing running costs of the organisation. This project is vital in supporting the Trust to become financially independent and the Trust is grateful to all of the local businesses and organisations who chose to advertise here each year.
