To date, the Trust has been involved with repairing and restoring footpaths, replacing woodland steps and clearing waste from community paths and nature walks. The Trust are always looking for local volunteers to provide help keep the local path networks and green spaces clean and tidy and run a monthly Clean Up Club. If you are interested please get in touch or see the events page for more information.
The trust also undertake fundraising locally to promote and improve path networks across Portree and Braes.
In October 2019 15 local people took part in a sponsored walk from the Old Man of Storr to Sligachan Hotel, approx 25 miles over challenging mixed terrain. The walk highlighted the boundary of the Portree and Braes area, raised over £1000 for the Light Up Portree Christmas fund and provided an opportunity for those taking part to explore remote parts of the island.
