Join us on Friday November 7th for The Colonel’s Cèilidh, a celebration of the life and legacy of Ross Cowie, 'The Colonel'. Enjoy live music from The Broch Inspectors (Malcolm Jones and Friends), along with performances from local artists. A licensed bar will be provided by Isle of Skye Distillers. Organised by Lucky2BHere, this over-18s event runs from 7:30pm till late — a night not to be missed!

Welcome back to Fiona and Sophie!

We’re delighted to welcome back Fiona and Sophie from maternity leave! Sophie has returned to her role as Community Health Project Officer, while Fiona is back as Development Manager, now sharing the role with Iona MacDonald. It’s great to have them both back on the team!

Indoor Ice Rink Coming This January

We’re excited to announce that an indoor ice rink will be coming to the Portree Community Centre, 17th - 24th January! There will be fun sessions for all ages, so everyone can get involved. Booking details and more information will be available soon — keep an eye out for updates!

Portree Community Centre Toilets Revamp

Great news — the toilets at the Portree Community Centre are open again! After being closed until September for essential repairs, they’ve now had a much-needed refresh and are looking better than ever.

Sconser Integration - Responses Needed

The Portree and Braes Community Trust was recently approached by Sconser Community Council to consider extending our geographic area to include the Sconser community. This would enable us to support local projects and access funding not available to Community Councils.

We’re now asking our ordinary members to vote on whether the Trust’s boundary should be extended south to include the Sconser area (covering Sconser village, Druim na Cleòchd, and part of the Red Cuillin).
